Overview

Sar Pass offers the magnificence of a beautiful verdant landscape and is a heaven for photographers, artists, and nature lovers. Set against a curtain of majestic Himalayan peaks wrapped in snow, the Sar Pass trek passes through some of the most scenic views ranging from forests to the meadows to the ice blankets. The trail passes through the thick forest and takes you to a winter wonderland that makes it fascinating. While trekking across the path from Tila Lotni to Biskeri Ridge, one has to pass by a small, usually frozen lake which means “Sar” in the local language of Himachal. Hence the name, Sar Pass!

Itinerary

Day 1 — Day 01 – Kasol and Trek to Grahan Village (Starting Time - 9:30 A.M, 7 Km Trek Duration: 4-5 hours | Elevation: 7,700 Ft.)

Arrive at Manali, Meet our representatives here. you will drive to Jobra, 25 km ride to Jobra in a cab from Manali. A quick introduction with team members and fellow trekkers, Start An easy 7 km trek to Grahan Village campsite from Kasol. Enjoy an overnight stay and dinner at the tents in Grahan Village.

Day 2 — Grahan to Mung Thach (7 km trek Duration: 4-5 hours | Elevation: 11,150 Ft)

having breakfast trek starts to Min Thatch. After continuing your trek for a while, witness the Mung Thach, Nagaru, and Sar Top on the mountain to the right. Arrival at the campsite, Hot lunch at the campsite. Admire the surreal beauty, losing yourself in an ambiance that will take your breath away. Have your dinner and rest up in the camps at Mung Thach.

Day 3 — Mung Thach to Nagaru (7 km trek. Duration: 5-6 hours | Elevation: 12,500 Ft.)

After breakfast start the trek from Mung Thach to Nagaru that will pass through the woods. This is a difficult part of the trek, the slope falls steeply to the valley below and the snow may be slippery. After crossing steep slope for a couple of hours, reach Nagaru campsite. Arrival at the campsite with evening refreshments. you will see magnificent mountains across the Parvati valley and the beautiful town of Manikaran. Dinner and overnight stay at the camps.

Day 4 — Nagaru to Biskeri Thach (6-8 hours) | Stand Tall at the Sar Pass Top at 13,800 Ft. ( 7 km Trek Duration: 6-8 hours | Elevation: 13,800 Ft)

Wake up to the lovely view of Himalayas, after breakfast, Reach the top and enjoy the stunning views of Sar pass and the elevated peaks of the Tosh valley. Walk for an hour crossing a few streams to reach the valley and finally to the campsite of Biskeri Thach. Dinner and overnight stay in tents

Day 5 — Biskeri Thach to Kasol via Barshaini | End of Trip ( 7 Km Trek Duration: 4-5 hours | Elevation: 10,950 Ft.)

From Biskeri, hike down across a steep plot of land with fencing all around. After crossing the dense forest cross a stream, with a campsite across. Arrival in Kasol base camp The awesome tour ends here

  • Safety equipment
    First aid, medical kit, oxygen cylinders, stretchers, Walkie-Talkie etc. will be available at campsite.
  • Accommodation
    Stay is included from Day 1 to Last Day. Tents/Homestays/lodges will be provided. Tripple sharing Accommodation and separate accommodation for girls/ladies will be provided
  • Meals
    All meals from dinner on Day 1 to breakfast at Last day are included. Veg food will be provided during the trek.
  • Permits/ Forest fees
    UTT will arrange trekking permits and forest passes.
  • Experienced Trek Leader & Team
    Qualified trek leaders haing in basic / advanced mountaineering courses certificates/ degrees will assist trek.Other staff member includes qualified cooks, helpers and porters.
  • Food during transit to and from the base camp
    Food would not be provided during transit and trekkers have to bear the cost at their own.
  • Mule and Porter charges
    Generally we expect trekkers to carry their bag-pack and luggage themselves. For those who wish to use Mule/Porter need to pay Rs 350 per day for same.

    Personal Expense of any kind. The trek cost does not include stay at any location on last day
