A small holy town called Madhmaheshwar is located at a height of 3490 metres above sea level. Magnificent snow-capped Himalayas on one side, lush alpine meadows on the other, and dense forest on the back surround it. The town got its name from the thousands of years old holy shrine Madhyamaheshwar Temple of Lord Shiva that is also renowned as one of the Panch Kedars. The trip to this well-known temple is one of Uttarakhand’s most alluring ones, offering breathtaking natural beauty and Himalayan mountain range views. To make their prayers at the temple, pilgrims travel one of the most spiritual routes to Madmaheshwar. This Madmaheshwar trekking trek lasts 6 days and 5 nights and involves trekking 32 miles along the banks of the Ganga River through charming villages, dense forests, and grasslands to reach the Holy Temple and valley.
You are picked up by our employees in a cab or bus along with other trekkers from the Rishikesh train station or other specified locations. After boarding, the drive to Ukhimath takes about 6 to 7 hours. The Kedarnath and Madmaheshwar temple idols' sacred winter residence is the Ukhimath town, a spotless settlement. After reaching Ukhimath, stay overnight in a lodge/hotel or a tent.
The trek begins the following morning after breakfast on the second day of the Madmaheshwar trek package. From Ukhimath, the trek is simple, although you will need to make your way slowly through a few charming settlements like Ranshi. This trail from Ukhimath to Goundar village is well-paved and passes through the forest full of rhododendrons, oaks, pines, and maple trees. A few wild creatures and some stunning birds can be found in the vicinity. You arrive at your next halt after a few hours of a straightforward hike. Overnight stay in tents.
Your journey today will take you to the summit of this Madmaheshwar trek package, which not only offers stunning vistas but also has a spiritual significance. The trek begins in the village of Goundar and is initially gradual before becoming a bit steeper but still moderate later on. The beautiful beauty of the lush greens and rustic way of life will wow you as you go along this well-paved road through impenetrable woodlands to small communities. After trekking for 1 km from Gaundhar, you witness the unmatched beauty of the Madmaheshwar Ganga, dense forests, and reach the small Bantoli village. Here, you discover the confluence of Mourkhanda River coming from Chaukhamba, and River Madmaheshwari descending from Nandikund, known as the Madmaheshwar Ganga. The trek passes past this lush Bantoli town before ascending steadily to upper-Bantoli. Now an arduous trek takes to the final destination of the Madmaheshwar Valley, where the famous holy shrine is on the left. The mountain at the backdrop of the temple is the Buda-Madmaheshwar peak where you can reach after a difficult trek of 2 km in 2 hrs. Four magnificent lakes at Buda-Madmaheshwar mirror the unmatched views of the neighbouring mountain ranges. Before it gets dark, you return to Madmaheshwar Valley and spend the night in a tent or the Dharamshala.
Wake up with an extraordinary sunrise and enjoy your healthy breakfast to start your return journey to Goundar. Ascend the summit of this Madmaheshwar trek package to see the natural beauty and spiritual significance of the area, then trek for 10 kilometres to the basecamp. The trail for the descend is the same as above and is full of nature and wildlife. After a descent of 10 km, you reach Gaundar village, where you have plenty of time to interact with villagers and discover what's nearby. Spend the night in a tent or a hotel after dinner.
The fifth day of the Madmaheshwar trek package starts with breakfast and takes you back to the Ukhimath village. The same route that was taken during the ascent can be easily traversed and is well-paved. The journey back to the charming and lovely Ukhimath, a well-known holy sanctuary, takes about three hours. Village tour, or visit the nearby holy temples. Interact with villagers to learn about their lifestyle or mythological significance that this town possesses. After dinner rest in camp.
Eat breakfast and get ready to say goodbye to this beautiful place. You are picked up from your lodging or tent and driven in our vehicle to Rishikesh, which serves as the starting location for this Madmaheshwar trek package. Get dropped at the railway station or bus depot or the place of your choi.
