Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Leh | Welcome to the Top of the World

When you arrive in Leh, a representative will greet you and assist with your transfer to the hotel. Once you've arrived at your hotel, check in and take some time to unwind before getting some rest. Enjoy a hearty breakfast in the hotel and gradually get acclimatized to the climate. The entire day will be spent at leisure because Ladakh is a high-altitude location and significant concern will be given to altitude sickness. In the evening savour a scrumptious meal. Spending the night in a hotel in Leh.

Day 2 : Leh to Sham Valley | Exploring Borders of Leh

Wake up to a beautiful morning in the mountains and have a hearty breakfast. Prepare for an exciting trip to ‘Sham Valley’ which is picturesquely tucked away along the Srinagar-Leh route. Start off the sightseeing by paying homage to the martyrs of the Indo-Pak War at the Hall of Fame. Visit the Spituk Gompa, which also houses an on-site museum filled with historical masks, weaponry, and Thangkas (Buddhist Paintings). Enjoy delicious langar at Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and know the story behind the construction of this Gurudwara by the army. Today, you should also check out Magnetic Hill, a little section of road where gravity doesn't apply. Visit the Indus Sangam Viewpoint to observe the Zanskar and Indus Rivers merging. Visit SECMOL which is the real 3-idiots school. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Leh after a fun-filled day of exploration.

Day 3 : Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung-La Pass | A Drive to the World’s Highest Motorable Road (18000 ft.)

After having a healthy breakfast in the morning, get ready for the ultimate adventure. You will travel over some of the highest passes in the world on your adventure, and you will be greeted by ever-changing vistas of the desolate landscape. Take a stopover at the cafe on Khardung-La Pass, the world's highest all-season motorable road and soak in the views as you will feel like on top of the world. Upon leaving Khardung-la, the terrain changes to a white sand desert as you approach the Nubra Valley, which is home to the Nubra Sand Dunes. Visit the Diskit Monastery, the oldest and biggest monastery in Ladakh, which also contains a sizable Buddha statue, if time permits. Enjoy the exquisite double-humped Bactrian Camel Ride, exclusively found in this region, as this region was a part of the famous silk route. Later enjoy camping with a bonfire under the sky full of stars. Overnight stay at the campsite in Nubra Valley.

Day 4 : Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake | Recreate the Famous Bollywood Moments

Wake up in the morning in the beautiful Nubra Valley and have a scrumptious breakfast. Get ready for your excursion to Pangong Lake on the Indo-China border—this day has been long anticipated. Pangong Tso, one of the highest altitude saltwater lakes, will welcome you with its shifting hues of blue, green, and red. Spend the rest of the day exploring the surroundings of the Pangong Lake with the view of the Shyok river on one side and the mountains on another side. Overnight stay and dinner at a campsite near Pangong Lake.

Day 5 : Pangong lake to Leh | Excursion to Rancho School

Wake up in the morning to the beautiful Pangong Lake view and have a delicious breakfast. Take a brief detour to the Chang-la Pass, one of the world's highest mountain passes, on the way back to Leh. You can also visit the Chang-la Cafe, located just on the Changla Pass. Visit the Changla Baba Temple, which is located on the summit and is thought to be the protector of travellers to Chang La, the name of the pass. Further, visit the Druk Padma School, famed for the movie ‘3 Idiots’ as the site where the last scene was shot. One can also visit the beautifully structured Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace en-route, if time permits. After arriving in Leh, have some time to relax before dining at the hotel. Overnight stay at a hotel in Leh.

Day 6 : Departure | It's Time to say Goodbye to the Mountains

After having your breakfast in the morning, complete the check-out formalities at the hotel. You will afterwards be taken to the airport for your subsequent flight. Fly out of Leh and say goodbye to your fellow travellers and this magical land.

    UTT will arrange trekking permits and forest passes.

    Qualified trek leaders haing in basic / advanced mountaineering courses certificates/ degrees will assist trek.Other staff member includes qualified cooks, helpers and porters.
