The state of  Himachal Pradesh, India. Dharamshala is the administrative headquarters of the district, and Kangra is most famous for its Masrur Temples, also known as the Himalayan Pyramids. These temples have informally been called a “wonder of the world”, for being a likely contender for UNESCO World Heritage status. There are many types beautiful places:-Pir Panal, Dhaulashar, Kangra Shiwalik, Kangra Valley and Beas Basin.  Opening up to you the magic of Kangra Valley, Dharamshala, there are several experiences to revel in. Steeped in vibrancy and serenity, this place is where His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and his Tibetan government in exile reside. Get to visit the museums and amble through the Tibetan market, the day you arrive at McLeodganj. Begin your trekking Kangra valley with reaching the stunning high altitude Kareri Lake through the enchanting Kareri Village. Apart from this, it is also famous for the Kangra School of Miniature Paintings as well as the National Institute of Fashion and Technology, Kangra.  Furthermore, it is famous for its plethora of high altitude lakes, most of which are accessible during certain months via trekking.That is why this is a popular tourist place. The trek with steep slopes leads to a gorgeous forest consisting of Deodar and Rhododendron trees, and some rocky sharp paths with some amazing view.

Itinerary

Day 1 : MCLEODGANJ – BOH – KANOL

MTS:-1500, DRIVE:-45 KMS. / 02 Hour, TREK 3-4 HRS After breakfast Starting point BOH VILLAGE. BOH to BATANI VILLAGE.(2 hours to reach) At Batuniwe visit the village and witness the lifestyle of local people. After lunch it is a downhill walk through the lush green fields till we reach Kanol Village where we camp for the overnight stay.Overnight in the tents/ home stay.

Day 2 : KANOL - KARERI VILLAGE

MTS:-1900, TREK 4-5 Hours. Having breakfast Walking through some beautiful small villages. We reachKareri village by evening. Overnight in the tents/ guest house at Kareri village.

Day 3 : KARERI – BAHL

MTS:-1900, TREK 4-5 Hours. Having breakfast. Trek from KAreri Village to KhariBehi . From KhariBehi it is a steep downhill walk for about an hour to Rawa Village, situated on the bank of a small river. Reaching Rawa Village to Bahi village trek for another 2 hours . Them Camp near a small stream close to the village. Stay Overnight in the tents/ home stay.

Day 4 : BAHL – TRIUND

MTS:-2875, TREK 4-5 Hours. Wake up early morning because early start is recommended as the trail is generally uphill for the day. Have your breakfast.Cross the Bhatedriver and follow a rough trail which climbs steeply through the forest to Galu temple. From here the terrain changes to a wide paved mountain path. Enjoy the views of ‘TRIUND’which is set on an alpine meadow, high up on a ridge facing snowcapped peaks of Dhauladhar on one side and beautiful Kangra Valley on the other. Camp here for the overnight stay. Stay overnight in the tents/ guest house.

Day 5 : TRIUND – MCLEOD GANJ (DHARAMSALA) VIA LETA

TREK 3-4 Hours. Wake up in the morning and get freshen up. Witness the mesmerizing sunrise in the mountains and have your delicious breakfast. Explore the mystical views of the surroundings and interact with the local people. Later, enjoy a tea session in a tea shack near the ridge and enjoy the views of Kangra Valley at the same time. Reach back to the start point(at around 12:30 PM) and end the trek.

  • Transport to and from the base camp
    The above trek cost includes transport to and from base camp.
  • Safety equipment
    First aid, medical kit, oxygen cylinders, stretchers, Walkie-Talkie etc. will be available at campsite.
  • Accommodation
    Stay is included from Day 1 to Last Day. Tents/Homestays/lodges will be provided. Tripple sharing Accommodation and separate accommodation for girls/ladies will be provided
  • Meals
    All meals from dinner on Day 1 to breakfast at Last day are included. Veg food will be provided during the trek.
  • Permits/ Forest fees
    UTT will arrange trekking permits and forest passes.
  • Experienced Trek Leader & Team
    Qualified trek leaders haing in basic / advanced mountaineering courses certificates/ degrees will assist trek.Other staff member includes qualified cooks, helpers and porters.
  • Food during transit to and from the base camp
    Food would not be provided during transit and trekkers have to bear the cost at their own.
  • Mule and Porter charges
    Generally we expect trekkers to carry their bag-pack and luggage themselves. For those who wish to use Mule/Porter need to pay Rs 350 per day for same.
  • Personal Expense
    Personal Expense of any kind. The trek cost does not include stay at any location on last day
