This trek through short is considered challenging as the trail consists of several sharp ascents and dark boulder rock tracks but en route, you will discover the fascinating natural beauty as you soak in the beauty of the Kangra valley at Triund, camp around Lahesh caves and get a  panoramic view of Dhauladhar range at Indrahar Pass. The path passes by the placid crystal blue waters of Lake Mankiani and Kareri. Hike through the steep passing mostly through the lush green landscapes of the Dhauladhar Range, this challenging yet tempting trek takes about 4 days to complete.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Trek from McLeod Ganj to Triund

start your first day of trekking with a 10 km trek to Triund via Dhramkot. Spend the rest of the day at leisure and explore around. Enjoy your delicious dinner and head in for the night early as the trek starts the next day.

Day 2 :- Triund – Lahesh Cave (3598 mts/11800 ft) 9 kms/ 3-4 hrs

Wake up early in the morning, have a hearty breakfast and get ready to reach the destination of today, Lahesh Cave. you will have to cross the bridges and walk on the flowering ground, under Oak and Conifer trees. Over Night Stay in Camp.

Day 3 Lahesh Cave – Indrahar Pass (4375 mts/14,350 ft) and back (12 kms/6 -7 hrs)

Start the day early, with a delicious breakfast, and a glorious Himalayan sunrise! today’s 7-hour trek through rocky terrains after Lahesh caves takes you to the highlight of the trail- Indrahar Pass at an elevation of 4300mts. After spending some time at the pass, trek back to lahesh Cave. Overnight stay and dinner in the Chatru Parao tent..

Day4: - Back to McLeod Ganj (Trek Distance 4 Km Trek Time3-4 Hours)

After breakfast, check out of the camps and begin your descend towards Mcleodganj. A gradual trek of around 4 hours will finally take you back to McLeod Ganj. With your arrival in McLeod Ganj, this amazing trek will come to an end.

  • Safety equipment
    First aid, medical kit, oxygen cylinders, stretchers, Walkie-Talkie etc. will be available at campsite.
  • Accommodation
    Stay is included from Day 1 to Last Day. Tents/Homestays/lodges will be provided. Tripple sharing Accommodation and separate accommodation for girls/ladies will be provided
  • Meals
    All meals from dinner on Day 1 to breakfast at Last day are included. Veg food will be provided during the trek.
  • Permits/ Forest fees
    UTT will arrange trekking permits and forest passes.
  • Experienced Trek Leader & Team
    Qualified trek leaders haing in basic / advanced mountaineering courses certificates/ degrees will assist trek.Other staff member includes qualified cooks, helpers and porters.
  • Food during transit to and from the base camp
    Food would not be provided during transit and trekkers have to bear the cost at their own.
  • Mule and Porter charges
    Generally we expect trekkers to carry their bag-pack and luggage themselves. For those who wish to use Mule/Porter need to pay Rs 350 per day for same.
  • Personal Expense
    Personal Expense of any kind. The trek cost does not include stay at any location on last day
