Overview

Landscapes change vividly every few hours of walking on the Hampta Pass trekking trail. The lack of any treacherousness in the trail is compensated by the abundance of natural beauty, which will take you by surprise at every twist and turn of the trek. The entire trail of the Hampta Pass trek is dotted with everything you can dream of witnessing on a trek. The trail is of easy to moderate grade and hence is suitable for all type of trekkers. This trek offers a complete change of landscape right from green valleys of Manali to rocky valley of Spiti with a glimpse of snow clad peaks and glaciers on the way to the pass. The locals believe this pass as the gateway to heaven.

Itinerary

Day 1 — Drive from Manali to Jobra; Trek from Jobra to Chika (Altitude: 3080 metres, 25 km drive and 3 km trek)

Arrive at Manali, Meet our representatives here. you will drive to Jobra, 25 km ride to Jobra in a cab from Manali. A quick introduction with team members and fellow trekkers, Start An easy 3 km trek to Chika campsite from Jobra. Enjoy an overnight stay and dinner at the tents in Chika.

Day 2 — Chika to Balu ka Ghera (Altitude: 3630 metres, 8.5 km trek)

Departure to Balu Ka Ghera from Chika after the breakfast Arrival at the campsite, Hot lunch at the campsite. Admire the surreal beauty, losing yourself in an ambiance that will take your breath away. Have your dinner and rest up in the camps at Balu ka Ghera.

Day 3 — Balu ka Gera to Siagoru and Crossing Hampta Pass (Altitude: 4300 metres, 7 km trek.)

Trek to Hampta Pass after the breakfast. Start your day with a steep ascend till the Pass and then, descending towards the next campsite. Arrival at the Shea Goru campsite with evening refreshments, Evening walks on the banks of river and witnessing the Spiti Valley Dinner and overnight stay at the camps.

Day 4 — Trek from Siagoru to Chatru, drive to Chandra Tal and return Chatru (Trek Distance: 3 Kms | Duration: 4 Hours | Elevation: 11,000 ft)

Wake up to the lovely view of Himalayas, after breakfast, begin an easy descent through the Hampta Valley, 7 km easy descend trek to Chatru and drive to Chandratal The drive from Chattru to Chandratal takes around 4-5 hours, Reach Chandratal and enjoy the beauty of this high altitude lake After exploring the lake, we drive back to Chattru through the same route. Dinner and overnight stay in tents

Day 5 — Drive from Chatru to Manali via Atel Tunnel | End of the Journey
