Today, you will drive from NJP to Yuksom, from where we will start our trek the next day, Our team will pick you up from New Jalpaiguri Railway Station at 10 AM. Around late evening, the trek leader will give you a small briefing about the rules to be followed at the trek. Arriving in the town, check-in into a hotel, and retire for the day.
Waking up in the morning, Enjoy a hearty breakfast, Today will be the first day of this Goechala pass trek, start ascending uphill and follow the gorges of the Rathong River. Trek through dense forests, frequent ascents, and descents. The trail passes through three iron bridges. Arriving in Sachen, settle down at the campsite and call it a day.
you will be crossing the Prek Chu River and hike uphill for around 2-3 hours to reach Bakhim. The trek for the day will take you through the aromatic viburnum plantations, overnight stay will be in a camp.
The trek to Dzongri is undeniably one of the most demanding days of the Goechala Trek. Dzongri, the campsite for the day, is still a good 4-5 hours trek away from Phedang and involves some steep ascents. spend an overnight stay in camps.
The day begins at 4 AM with an ascent to Dzongri Top (3, 946 M) from where you get unparalleled views of the Singalila and Kanchenjunga ranges during sunrise. breakfast at Dzongri after which we will begin our trek to Thansing it is going to be an easy hike of 4-5 hours with gentle ascents and descents alongside the Prek River. spend your day relaxing here at the campsite.
Today, we will trek from Thangshing to Lamuney, the easiest day of our trek and we will trek up to an altitude of 13, 650 ft. The day is much required as you must get acclimatized to the higher altitudes before gaining further height. Camping is not permitted by the lake. After spending some time exploring the lake, we will be returning to our camps at Lamuney to spend the night there.
This is the toughest day of your trek and also the longest as we make our way to the Goechala Pass and back to Lamuney. If we are trekking from Thansing, we will begin our trek at 1 AM. If we are already at Lamuney, we will be beginning the trek at 3 AM. Arriving at this magnificent pass, behold the magical views of the Kanchenjunga and other distant peaks before you start moving back towards kokchurang for an overnight stay camp.
Today we will retrace our path back from Thangshing to Tshoka. The trek distance is approximately 16 km and takes about 7 hours to complete. you will be taking a route through the Dzongri Plateau in order to avoid the long climb. The trail passes through Prek Chu and the deciduous forests of Phedang. Enjoy the enchanting views of the Kanchenjunga Peak from a nearby ridge and start trekking back towards Tshoka. Arriving in Tshoka, settle down in the overnight stay camps.
Today, descending through the Prek Chu River, you will be arriving in Yuksom, the last leg of this Goechala trek. The trek from Tshoka to Yuksom is about 15 km and ideally, it is covered in 7 to 8 hours. We will start the day early providing you a packed lunch to savor on the way Arriving in the Yuksom, check-in into a local hotel, and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
After having breakfast in the hotel, prepare your bags and check-out from the hotel. With this, the amazing Goecha La trek will come to an end.
The maximum altitude for this trek is 16,207 Ft., offering breathtaking views and a challenging experience.
This trek is rated as "Difficult " due to the high altitude, rugged terrain, and demanding hiking days.
The trek spans 10 Days/9 Night, including travel to and from New Jalpaiguri.
Participants should be at least 12 Years to join this trek due to its demanding nature.

The trek starts and ends in New Jalpaiguri.

People with conditions such as Bronchitis, Asthma, TB, Epilepsy, high blood pressure, or a higher BMI are not allowed on this trek.
Children under 8 years old are not permitted to join the trek.
