Overview

The trekking for Dayara Bugyal starts from the village of Barsu. Trekkers can enjoy beautiful views of a stream flowing where they can even halt and capture the picturesque sight. Moving ahead, the trekking trail to Dayara Bugyal further takes to the lush forest of maple and oak trees. One won’t find any animals there except a happy-go-lucky mountain dog which might accompany you throughout the trek. There are great camping opportunities along Barnala Tal. As you ascend more, the forest starts to clear out and all you are left with is a wide, sprawling, undulating, and lush meadow of Dayara Bugyal.

Itinerary

Day 1 Dehradun to Barsu Village (8530 ft) (200 km Drive)

Pick up from Dehradun Railway station at 7.30.a.m. Drive to Barsu via Uttarkashi Arrive at Barsu village, a small village located 30 km above the city of Uttarkashi which serves as the starting point of the trek. Stay at the homestay in Barsu. A quick introduction & briefing session with the trek leader and fellow travelers. Dinner and rest at the homestay.

Day 2 : Barsu to Barnala ( 9500 ft) (6 km, 6-7 hours trek)

The day will start with a group ice-breaking session and Breakfast will be served. Afterward, we'll take an uphill short trek of 6 KM through the Oak Forest in order to reach Barnala Campsite. On arrival at Campsite, Lunch will be served. The lunch will be followed by an acclimatization walk and evening snacks will be served. Overnight stay at camps.

Day 3 : Barnala to Dayara Bugyal Top (12100 Ft) back to Barnala (6 Km)

Post breakfast, we'll head out for trekking to Dayara Bugyal. On arrival, we'll have a packed lunch at Dayara viewpoint. After sightseeing, we'll descend back to the Barnala campsite. On arrival at Campsite, we'll have dinner and end the day.

Day 4 Barnala to Barsu ( 6 Km Trek, 6—7 Hour)

Day 5 Barsu to Dehradun ( 200 Km Drive 7—8 Hour)

Barsu to Dehradun 180 Km Drive Good morning fellow trekkers. Wake up to a beautiful morning and witness the amazing sunrise start your drive back to Dehradun.

Inclusions

  • Transport to and from the base camp
    The above trek cost includes transport to and from base camp.
  • Safety equipment
    First aid, medical kit, oxygen cylinders, stretchers, Walkie-Talkie etc. will be available at campsite.
  • Accommodation
    Stay is included from Day 1 to Last Day. Tents/Homestays/lodges will be provided. Tripple sharing Accommodation and separate accommodation for girls/ladies will be provided
  • Meals
    All meals from dinner on Day 1 to breakfast at Last day are included. Veg food will be provided during the trek.
  • Permits/ Forest fees
    UTT will arrange trekking permits and forest passes.
  • Experienced Trek Leader & Team
    Qualified trek leaders haing in basic / advanced mountaineering courses certificates/ degrees will assist trek.Other staff member includes qualified cooks, helpers and porters.
  • Food during transit to and from the base camp
    Food would not be provided during transit and trekkers have to bear the cost at their own.
  • Mule and Porter charges
    Generally we expect trekkers to carry their bag-pack and luggage themselves. For those who wish to use Mule/Porter need to pay Rs 350 per day for same.
  • Personal Expense
    Personal Expense of any kind. The trek cost does not include stay at any location on last day
