Bagji Bugyal At a height of 3,250 metres, is a lovely Meadow found in the Chamoli District of Uttrakhand. The locals recall a time, 60 to 70 years ago, when tigers, known locally as “Bagh,” used to freely wander over the meadows. They gave it the name Bagji Bugyal just to identify this particular group of bugyals. The phrase “tiger meadows” means exactly what it says. Unluckily, the tigers vanished.
