Black Peak, the highest peak in the Saraswati Range of mountains in the Ruinsara Valley, is one of the many striking summits in the Garhwal Himalayas. It is 6,287 M of breathtaking beauty and is known as Kalanag in the local tongue due to the peak’s striking resemblance to the head of the black cobra. Three peaks make up the Bandarpunch massif, commonly known as the Saraswati range of mountains: Kalanag (Black Peak), 6,287 metres high; White Peak, 6,102 metres high; and Banderpunch I, 6,316 metres high. Black Peak is surrounded by some of the most revered mountains because of its wonderful location. Swargarohini, Bhagirathi Massif, Bandarpunch, Gangotri series of mountains, and many other prominent peaks of the Garhwal range keep you company as you trek. The trail itself boasts of unfathomable beauty across a variety of landscapes, including alpine meadows, pine woods, moraine ridges, rocks, and glacial basins. Govind National Park is noted for its rich flora and fauna.
Hrs: 7/8, km: 210,1920 m Meet us at the Dehradun Railway Station or ISBT for our pick-up, and we'll then drive to Sankri. You can eat breakfast at Kempty Fall, a popular picnic location known for its waterfall. Have lunch at Purola in the middle of your adventure. It's a gorgeous trip to Sankri you'll enjoy lovely views from your window as you pass through Dehradun, Mussoorie, Nainbagh, Damta, Newman, Purola, Mori, and Netwar, all of which are picturesque Himalayan towns. You will see apple orchards here and greenery all around. When you arrive in Sankri, you can see snow-covered mountains, the area is pollution-free, and the weather is refreshing.
Prepare yourself for the expedition now. Complete the necessary documentation. After that, you can take a nap or a quick Trek.
Hrs: 4/5,trek km: 11, 2560m After eating breakfast, take a taxi to Taluka, which is 11 kilometres from Sankri. Set out on your trek from Taluka in the direction of Osla. As you pass through deep forests with lots of walnut trees, you'll see Himalayan settlements in the distance. Reach Osla village, which is the largest settlement and well-known for its culture, after a slow elevation. Explore this quaint place, after pitching your tents retire for the night.
6/7 Hrs 3900m Early risers should leave for Ruinsara after breakfast. It is a glacial lake considered sacred by the villagers the pure waters of this lake is worshipped by them.
Hrs: 5/6,trek km:7, 3900m Wish upon Ruinsara Lake and proceed to Kyarkoti (Base Camp). From here Black Peak is visible, the sight is enough to energize you for upcoming days. Set up your tents in Kyarkoti, a meadow surrounded by mountains and boulders, and settle down for the day.
Load the ferry and return from ABC to Base Camp. Overnight stay at Base Camp.
Go through the same path which you followed yesterday from Base Camp to ABC. Overnight in tents.
Take the ferry from ABC to Camp 1 and enjoy the unobstructed views of Black Peak. After setting up Camp 1 get back to ABC. Overnight retire in camp.
Continue down the same path that you did yesterday. Ascent from ABC to Camp 1.
Summit Camp is located at an elevation of 5500 metres after a long ascent. After three hours you can reach the campsite. After setting up the tents retire early.
After assessing the weather and trail conditions, set out early the next morning. In the morning the ice remains tough and hard so walking on it becomes easier. Black Peak (Kala Nag) rises to a height of 6387 metres; it is a tough trek; utilise your equipment to get there. You'll feel satisfied after making it to the top. After spending some time there descent to Summit camp.
Take rest two days.
After successful climb descent from Summit camp to Base camp. we will rest for the night. Overnight in tents.
Dropping down to Osla village, where you spent Day 2, from Base Camp. Talk to the villagers and know the closely.
Leave this charming village behind and start the descent to Taluka. Reach there and take a small break. The trek ends here. Say goodbay this beautiful trek.
This trek is rated as "Difficult" due to the high altitude, rugged terrain, and demanding hiking days.
Participants should be at least 16 YEAR to join this trek due to its demanding nature.
