Har ki dun trek is one of the most popular treks among a lot of trekkers and nature enthusiasts. This exhilarating trek is also known as a hanging valley because of its cradle-shaped mountains. The entire trek rout is such pleasant that it will ultimately take away all your sounds and voices. You have seen wildlife beauty of the amazons and other areas over your television, but this part of the beauty has not been caught in any of the shows. Spellbinding beauty of the place is charmed with the pew of the sweetest birds. The lake, Ruinsara Tal is located at the side of the Ton Glacier, a few kilometers from Osla. The lake is having enigmatic beauty all around, with the Har-Ki-Doon valley at the closest distance of it. Swargarohini and Bandarpunch will be seeing you over the woods. So never think, in your imagination even, that you are alone in the route.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Dehradun to Sankri (200 Kilometers, 8 Hours Drive)

The group assembles at the pick-up point by 06:00 AM. We'll meet the team captains and a small tour briefing would also be provided. After which, we’ll head out on an overnight journey to Sankri. We'll reach Sankri by the evening. Post-check-in, dinner will be served followed by an overnight stay in Sankri.

Day 2 : Sankri to Taluka | Trek to Seema (12 KMs)

Breakfast will be served in the morning. After which, we'll head out for a drive to Taluka. On reaching Taluka, we'll start our trek to Seema, which is our first pit stop. We'll reach Seema by the afternoon and lunch will be served here. The rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner will be served in the evening followed by an overnight stay in Seema.

Day 3 : Seema to Kalkattiyadhaar (7 KMs)

Post breakfast, we'll head out for Kalkattiyadhaar. During the journey we'll be covering Osla Grassland, in here you can observe extensive flora and fauna which are present in abundance. Post-check-in at Kalkattiyadhaar, lunch will be served. The rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner will be served in the evening followed by an overnight stay in Kalkattiyadhaar.

Day 4 : Kalkattiyadhaar to Boslo via Har ki dun (14 KMs)

Post breakfast, we'll head out for Har ki Dun Valley. During the journey, we'll be covering the View of Swargarohini massiff and Har ki dun Valley. Finally, we'll head back to Boslo. We'll reach Boslo in the afternoon and lunch will be served here. The rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner will be served in the evening followed by an overnight stay in Boslo.

Day 5 : Bosla to Untigaad (10 KMs)

Breakfast will be served in the morning. After which, we'll head out for Untigaad. Post-check-in camps at Untigaad, lunch will be served here. At Untigaad, you will get the experienced campsite surrounded by water streams all around and snow capped peaks. The rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner will be served in the evening followed by an overnight stay in Untigaad.

Day 6 : Untigaad to Devsu Bugyal via Ruinsara Lake (12 KMs)

Post breakfast, we'll head out for Untigaad. Mid Way we will visit Ruinsara Lake. We'll reach Devsu Bugyal in the afternoon and post-check-in to camps, lunch will be served here. The rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner will be served in the evening followed by an overnight stay in Devsu Bugyal.

Day 7 : Devsu Bugyal to Taluka (15 KMs) | Taluka to Sankri

Breakfast will be served in the morning. After which, we'll head out for a drive to Taluka. On reaching Taluka, we'll board for Sankri. We'll reach Sankri in the afternoon and post-check-in, lunch will be served here. The rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner will be served in the evening followed by an overnight stay in Sankri.

Day 8 : Sankri to Dehradun End of Tour

Post breakfast, we'll head out for our back journey to Dehradun. We'll reach Dehradun by the evening. The group disassembles here. Tour Ends.

    The above trek cost includes transport to and from base camp.
  • Safety equipment
    First aid, medical kit, oxygen cylinders, stretchers, Walkie-Talkie etc. will be available at campsite.
  • Accommodation
    Stay is included from Day 1 to Last Day. Tents/Homestays/lodges will be provided. Tripple sharing Accommodation and separate accommodation for girls/ladies will be provided
  • Meals
    All meals from dinner on Day 1 to breakfast at Last day are included. Veg food will be provided during the trek.
  • Permits/ Forest fees
    UTT will arrange trekking permits and forest passes.
  • Experienced Trek Leader & Team
    Qualified trek leaders haing in basic / advanced mountaineering courses certificates/ degrees will assist trek.Other staff member includes qualified cooks, helpers and porters.
  • Food during transit to and from the base camp
    Food would not be provided during transit and trekkers have to bear the cost at their own.
  • Mule and Porter charges
    Generally we expect trekkers to carry their bag-pack and luggage themselves. For those who wish to use Mule/Porter need to pay Rs 350 per day for same.
  • Personal Expense
    Personal Expense of any kind. The trek cost does not include stay at any location on last day
