Kalindikhal trekking expedition starts from Gangotri banked beside the Ganga waters. After seeking the Gangotri goddess’s blessing start off on your journey to Gaumukh, the birth point of the holy Ganges River. Get enchanted by the grasslands at Tapovan and mesmerized by several rivulets and peaks of Shivling, Bhagirathi and Meru. From camping beside the Vasuki Tal, to breathtaking sceneries that include moraine, glaciers and majestic peaks, this tour has it all. After several briefing sessions on the safety measures to be taken on this trek, prepare to encounter the many splendours of nature.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Haridwar to Uttarakashi (2600 mtr, 8 hour drive for 280 km)

Begin the amazing Kalindi khal trek by driving to Uttarakashi en route Harsil. Being a charming little hamlet, Harsil is set amidst the awe-striking natural splendor of the Himalayas. Upon arrival at Uttarakashi, check into the Hotel. Visit local market of uttarakashi, and NIM ( Nehru Institute of Mountaineering)

Day 2 - Drive from Uttarakashi (2600 mtr) – Gangotri (3050 ntr, 20 km drive), Trek from Gangotri to Chirbasa (3550 mtr, 3 hour trek)

After breakfast drive to the holy township of Gangotri. Gangotri is the palace where the goddess Ganga descended on Earth from Heaven, Visit the famous Gangotri temple. Later trek to Bhojabasa. Upon arrival at Bhojwassa after, set up camps and prepare to get acquainted with the climate and altitude of this place.

Day 3 - Trek from Chirbasa – Bhojwasa (3850 mtr, 2 hour trek)

After Breakfast trek to Bojwasa The whole trek today is along the roaring Bhagirathi river The Trek is full of fascinating views of the high altitude Himalayasn Terrain and stunning views of surrounding peaks of Bhagirathi's snow clapped peaks. Enjoy excellent Sunset on surrounding peaks of Bhagirathi Dinner and overnight at Camp

Day 4 - Trek from Bhojwasa – Gaumukh (3890 mtr) – Tapovan (4463 mtr, 4 hour trek)

Post a hearty breakfast, continue trek up to Gaumukh The Trek from Gomukh to Tapovan is a steep ascent over the side of glacier Arrive Tapovan Set up your camps at the Shivlng peak and enjoy the gorgeous views of Meru and Bhagirathi I, II and III peaks. Dinner and Dinner and overnight Stay in camp. Sleep in the comfort of your tents.

Day 5 - Relaxation and acclimatization day at Tapovan

Enjoy a splendid day at Tapovan from where rises the Shivling Peak, Kedar Dome and Flanked by Meru you can see the peaks of Bhagirathi Range Retire for the night.

Day 6 - Trek from Tapovan – Nandanvan (4337 mtr, 3-4 hour trek)

After breakfast, Trek to Nandavan. Arrive at Nandanvan and relish the vision that is the peaks of Shivling, Bhagirathi, Sudarshan, Thelu and Kedardome. Pitch tents. Dinner and overnight stay in camp.

Day 7 - Trek from Nandanvan – Vasuki Tal (4880 mtr, 4-5 hour trek)

Now the trek will be of a moderate level Vasuki Tal is an alpine lake and is a base for Mt. Satopanth and Mt. Vasuki Parbat. Upon arriving at the lake, take in the scenic sights of the place and come across other trekking teams scaling the nearby peaks. Stop here and set up your tents for the night where you can retire.

Day 8 - Relaxation and acclimatization day at Vasuki Tal

Enjoy the nature and relax for the upcoming trekking journey Spend the night here in tents.

Day 9 - Trek from Vasuki Tal – Khara Pathar (5480 mtr, 3-4 hour trek)

Start day with a healthy breakfast trek to moraine, Khara Pathar which is also circled by moraine. Camping on the Moraine, and stunning close up views of the Kalindi Pass Settle down camps here and retire for the night.

Day 10 - Trek from Khara Pathar - Shweta Glacier (5500 mtr, 4-5 hour trek)

Fun day of Kalandi Pass trekking amidst a landscape comprising of glaciers, mountains and moraine. After a 4 to 5 hour trek, set up camp on the moraine and spend the night here in tents.

Day 11 - Trek from Shweta Glacier – Kalindi Base Camp (5600 mtr, 4-5 hour trek)

Start with exciting day after breakfast and get started with a trek through breathtaking terrains, a network of mountains and glaciers. After a 4 hour long trek, reach the Kalindi base camp Settle down your camps here and retire for the night.

Day 12 - Trek from Kalindi Base – Kalindikhal (5950 mtr)

After rising early in the morning we shall set out for Kalindi peak summit. Overnight stay in tent.

Day 13 - Trek from Arwatal – Ghastoli (3796 mtr, 5-6 hour trek)

Today, which is 16 Km from Arwa Tal Arrive at Ghastoli the first signs of habitation in the form of army and Indo Tibet Boder Police (ITBP) camps are seen as the area is very close to the china border Dinner and overnight stay in the camp

Day 14 - Trek from Ghastoli – Mana Village (5-6 hour trek), Drive from Mana Village – Badrinath – Joshimath (2 hour drive)

After breakfast start the trek from Ghastoli to Mana A seven-hour walk brings you to Mana Village, the last village of India. After having lunch here Drive to Joshimath via Badrinath , Visit Badrinath Temple Over night Stay in a Hotel

Day 15 - Transfer from Joshimath – Haridwar/ (8-9 hour drive)

After breakfast, be driven to Haridwar. Trip ends here.
