They go by the name Panch Kedar. The Panch Kedar Trek, one of the most well-known spiritual treks in the Indian Himalayas, runs from a height of 2134 metres in Urgam to a height of 3680 metres in Tungnath. Each year, many pilgrims participate in the Panch Kedar Yatra. Itineary

Day 1 : Arrive at Joshimath

  • You will reach Joshimath, which will serve as the Panch Kedar trek's starting point.
  • The approximately 260 mile travel from Haridwar to Joshimath takes 10 hours .
  • The entire path will be enjoyable for you because it is so lovely. Additionally, you will see where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers join to form the Ganga River.
  • When you arrive at Joshimath, assistance will be provided in finding your place to stay, where you may relax the night away.

Day 2 : Joshimath to Kalpeshwar (2134 m., 19 km. Drive) to Urgam Village(2134 m., 3 km. Trek)

  • After breakfast on the second day, you'll have to get going early to enjoy the 19-kilometer trip from Joshimath to Kalpeshwar.
  • From Kalpeshwar, which is at an elevation of 2134 metres and is thought to be a popular location for many sages to meditate, one must hike 3 kilometres to reach Urgam Village.
  • The entire valley is filled with extremely rich and diverse flora and wildlife, which will revive you.
  • We proceed to the hamlet of Urgam after Kalpeshwar. The majority of the trek to Urgam village is a progressive climb.
  • You will unwind after a tiring day in one of the homestays in Urgam village.
  • The villagers are quite kind, and you will have a lunch with them and get the opportunity to connect with them in an intriguing way while learning about their culture, customs, and way of life.

Day 3 : Urgam to Kalgot(2182m., 12 km. Trek)

  • You will begin your day with a journey from Urgam to Kalgot after a sumptuous breakfast at the guesthouse.
  • The elevation of Kalgot is 2183 metres above sea level.And distance is 12 kilometres.
  • You will have to go through a thick forest on your first excursion while listening to the sounds of gurgling waterfalls.
  • You will also see apple orchards and potato cultivation for which Ugram valley is famous for.
  • After arriving at the secluded village of Kalgot, you will get the opportunity to speak with the locals and learn about their way of living a contented life without modern conveniences.
  • You spend that night sleeping in the homestay with a Garhwali family in Kalgot.

Day 4 : Kalgot to Panar Bugyal (14 km. trek)

  • On the fourth day, you will start early after some refreshments for Kalgot to Panar Bugyal trek which is 14km long and you will have to climb uphill through the dense forest.
  • When the gentle air touches your face, you'll feel at peace.
  • You go via hilly, rocky, dusty, and farmland-filled trek .
  • Additionally, breathtaking meadows that showcase nature's magnificence are available to you.
  • You will like spending the night in a tent outside, beneath the open sky, amidst colourful and magnificent scenery.

Day 5 : Panar to Rudranath and Return (2286m., 8 km. Trek Each Side)

  • After breakfast on the fifth day, you will begin the journey from Panar to Rudranath.
  • At 2286 metres above sea level, Rudranath is located. When you get to the temple, you'll be treated to a stunning panorama that includes the Himalayas, Nanda Devi, Nanda Ghunti, Trishul, and much more.
  • You will be mesmerized by the soothing view and after experiencing the immense peace you will head back to Panar for the night stay.

Day 6 : Panar to Sagar Village (14 km. Trek) and Drive to Chopta (2900 m., 32 km.)

  • On the sixth day, you will leave for Sagar village, which is your first stop for the day, after waking up feeling refreshed and eating breakfast.
  • Trekking through dense forests and meadows at a high elevation takes one from Panar to the village of Sagar.
  • Later, enjoy the 32-kilometer trip to Chopta, popularly known as the Switzerland capital of the Garhwal area.
  • This location relieves the discomfort of a strenuous trek and presents you with a lovely magical world.
  • You will have the opportunity to recover and spend the night in the Chopta guest home after a long day.

Day 7 : Chopta to Tungnath(3680 m.) to Chandrashila and Back to Ukhimath, (9 km. Trek and 25 km. Drive)

  • On the seventh day, you will go to Tungnath, the tallest Shiva shrine in the world, which is another Shiva shrine and is situated at an elevation of 3680 metres above sea level.
  • A 3.5 km (two miles) hike from Chopta to Tungnath takes around four hours to complete.
  • Hiking may be done along a well-made concrete trail that passes past verdant alpine meadows, dense woods, and the snow-capped Himalayan mountains.
  • Later, you will arrive in Chandrashila, which is 4000 metres above sea level.
  • The journey to Chandrashila allows you to get enchanted by the majestic view of the Himalayas.
  • You will travel back to Ukhimath/Guptkashi in the late evening, where a room will be reserved for you at the local guest house.

Day 8 : Ukhimath to Kalimath (20 km. Drive) to Ransi (1765 m., 7 km. Trek)

  • You will leave Ukhimath on the eighth day and go to Kalimath, where you will stay until the following day.
  • You'll begin the climb up to Ransi, which is 1765 metres above sea level.
  • The route is covered with dirt and rocky pebbles.
  • Once you get to Ransi, have supper and head to the camp to spend the night.

Day 9 : Ransi to Gaundhar (3073 m., 7 km.)

  • You will start your journey from Ransi to Gaundhar on the ninth day. Gaundhar is 3073 metres above sea level and serves as the starting point for hikers trekking to Madhyamaheshwar.
  • You will also come across a bridge from where you can observe the confluence of the sacred Markanga Ganga River, the Ganga River, and Madhyamaheshwar, which offers hikers beautiful views.
  • One of the lowest times of your journey is right now. The scenery from here is breathtaking.
  • After arriving at Gaundhar, you will take in the meal before continuing to the camp for the night .

Day 10 : Gaundhar to Madhyamaheshwar (3490 m., 10 km.)

  • You will start your five to six-hour journey from Gaundhar to Madhyamasheswar, which is at an altitude of 3490 metres above sea level.
  • The trek route goes through thick forests.
  • It is one of the well-graded trails,that offers a variety of views of lush green fields and green hills.
  • The temple is built in typical north Indian style.
  • A breathtaking view of famous peaks like Kedarnath, Chaukhamba, and Neelkanth can be had from the campground.
  • Savor dinner and overnight stay at the camp in Madhyamaheshwar. .

Day 11 : Madhaymaheshwar to Gaudhar

  • You will begin your trip toward Gaudhar in the early morning after breakfast, following the same path as the previous day.
  • You can take pleasure in this location's nice environment and breathtaking scenery.
  • You will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in the camp at Gaundhar.

Day 12 : Gaundhar to Ransi(6 km)

  • You will head from Gaundhar to Ransi.
  • The entire trekking path is stunning and brimming with good vibes.
  • Following your arrival in Ransi, you will partake in supper before spending the night at the camp.

Day 13 : Ransi to Kalimath (13 km. Trek) and Kalimath to Gaurikund via Guptkashi (1319 m., 39 km. Drive)

  • As you begin your walk from Ransi to Kalimath, which is located on the banks of the Kali Ganga River, you will travel around 13 kilometres of the whole trip.
  • The majority of the trek path is in dense woodland.
  • Water streams with cold water can be found flowing along the trek path.
  • You will later have a journey from Kalimath to Gaurikund through Guptkashi; stop there, enjoy yourself, and explore several historic temples.
  • Head back to Gaurikund for dinner and overnight stay is at a hotel in Gaurikund.

Day 14 : Gaurikund to Kedarnath (3584 m., 16 km. Trek)

  • You set out on the trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath, which is one of Lord Shiva's twelve Jyotirlingas and is located at a height of 3584 metres above sea level.
  • The trek route offers an unimaginable sight of the surroundings.
  • On the right side, the river that runs through the valley is visible.
  • The entire trek distance is composed of a walk with no steep climbing.
  • Enjoy supper at the camp at Kedarnath and spend the night there after arriving .

Day 15 : Kedarnath to Gaurikund (16 km. Trek) and Gaurikund to Guptakashi (30 km. Drive)

  • Get up early, have breakfast, and then go to Kedarnath Temple to take part in the morning pooja.
  • After this, you will start the trek from Kedarnath to Gaurikund on the same route.
  • Take a break for lunch when you get to Gaurikund, then drive to Guptkashi .

Transport to and from the base camp
The above trek cost includes transport to and from base camp.
Safety equipment
First aid, medical kit, oxygen cylinders, stretchers, Walkie-Talkie etc. will be available at campsite.
Accommodation
Stay is included from Day 1 to Last Day. Tents/Homestays/lodges will be provided. Tripple sharing Accommodation and separate accommodation for girls/ladies will be provided
Meals
All meals from dinner on Day 1 to breakfast at Last day are included. Veg food will be provided during the trek.
Permits/ Forest fees
UTT will arrange trekking permits and forest passes.
Experienced Trek Leader & Team
Qualified trek leaders haing in basic / advanced mountaineering courses certificates/ degrees will assist trek.
Other staff member includes qualified cooks, helpers and porters.

Exclusions


Food during transit to and from the base camp
Food would not be provided during transit and trekkers have to bear the cost at their own.
Mule and Porter charges
Generally we expect trekkers to carry their bag-pack and luggage themselves. For those who wish to use Mule/Porter need to pay Rs 350 per day for same.
