Overview

The Kagbhusandi Lake has two huge irregular shaped rocks can be seen sitting on the spur of the Hathi Parvat. According to the local folklore, they are the Kaga (crow) and Garuda (Eagle) who are having a heated discussion on the affairs of the universe.

Itineary

Day 1: Haridwar to Joshimath

  • Assemble at Haridwar Railway Station at 6 am. Begin a long distance, uphill drive to Joshimath.
  • Witness the holy confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda Rivers to form the River Ganges at Devaprayag
  • Arrive at Joshimath. Overnight stay in Hotel

Day 2: Joshimath to Bhyundar Village.

  • Drive from Joshimath to GovindGhat (1828 mtr / 22 kms) and trek to Ghangaria (3049 mtr / 14 kms Trek)
  • Trek starts from Govindghat to Ghangaria
  • Arrive at Ghangaria. Explore the surroundings
  • Here River Pushwati and laxman ganga meet at bhuyndar village
  • River site campe site

Day 3: Bhyundar Village - Gairgilla (2980 mtr) - Samartoli (3170 mtr). 5-6 Hrs Trek

  • Trek along the Laxman ganga River.
  • Witness the majestic views of Hathi mountains. pass through the dense forest and a lot of flowers along with
  • River Campsite

Day 4: Samartoli - Dang Kharak (3400 mtr)- Raj Kharak (3900 mtr). 5-6 Hrs Trek

  • Witness the great view of Hathi and Gori Mountains

Day 5: Raj Kharak - Kankul Khal (4960 mtr) - Kak Bhushandi Tal (4730 mtr). 7-8 Hrs Trek

  • Rise Early at 4 am and head towards the kak bhusandi lake, Cross laxman ganga river
  • There are two lakes. First comes the Machi tal and then Kag bhusandi Tal. Machi tal look like a fish
  • From Kag bhusandi view the snow covered himalays

Day 6: Raj kharak Simartoki . 6-7 Hrs Trek

  • After a hearty Breakfast descent to simartoli

Day 7: Simrtoli - Govindgath - Vishnuprayag - to Joshimath

  • Heading back to Joshimath after a refreshing deliocious Meal ,drive to Joshimath
  • If you have some spare time, you can tour Auli or Badrinath.
  • Check in a hotel on arrival and stay overnight there.

Day 8: Drive from Joshimath - Haridwar

  • Trip ends here.
  • After breakfast, Return to Haridwar

People with below conditions are not allowed:
  • People suffering from Bronchitis, Asthma, TB, Epilepsy(got faints)
  • High blood pressure or higher BMI.
Chilren should meet below requirements
  • Below 8 years are not allowed

Inclusions


Transport to and from the base camp
The above trek cost includes transport to and from base camp.
Safety equipment
First aid, medical kit, oxygen cylinders, stretchers, Walkie-Talkie etc. will be available at campsite.
Accommodation
Stay is included from Day 1 to Last Day. Tents/Homestays/lodges will be provided. Tripple sharing Accomodation and seprate accomodation for girls/ladies will be povided
Meals
All meals from dinner on Day 1 to breakfast at Last day are included. Veg food will be provided during the trek.
Permits/ Forest fees
UTT will arrange trekking permits and forest passes.
Experienced Trek Leader & Team
Qualified trek leaders haing in basic / advanced mountaineering courses certificates/ degrees will assiston trek.
Other staff member includes qualified cooks, helpers and porters.

Exclusions


Food during transit to and from the base camp
Food would not be provided during transit and trekkers have to bear the cost at their own.
Mule and Porter charges
Generally we expect trekkers to carry their bag-pack and luggage themselves. For those who wish to use Mule/Porter need to pay Rs 350 per day for same.
Personal Expense
Personal Expense of any kind. The trek cost does not include stay at any location on last day
